HALF WAVE RECTIFIER:

WORKING:
                  The a.c indicate input (normally 220-240v) is straightly fed into a pace downwards transformer. Since the working status of the diode is express upto few volts, nosotros receive got to pace downwards the high voltage input.  then the voltage is fed into the pn diode. at that topographic point are 2 types of modes on the pn junction diode
CASE 1:

     Then the electrical current flows through the capacitor connected inwards series. The capacitor by as well as large turns the pulsating output into a constant dc output inwards other words it acts equally a filter. thus the output is obtained equally dc.
