The Msr Simmerlite: Discontinued
Recently, I noticed that the MSR SimmerLite stove was no longer listed on the Cascade Designs/MSR website.
Curious, I wrote MSR to inquire if the SimmerLite had inward fact been discontinued. Here is the answer I received:
OK, too hence it's non a gourmet cook's stove. What it was though, was a really lightweight, really packable stove, sure enough i of the lightest weight white gas stoves out there. I'm miserable to run into it go.

Yes, the SimmerLite has been discontinued. Sad to run into it go, but it never saw the adoption it needed. It could instruct a collector’s detail inward brusk order, though; I withal believe it’s i of the best white gas-only stoves y'all tin hand the sack get.I echo that feeling. I've ever felt that the SimmerLite was a skillful basic white gas stove. I tell "basic" because irrespective of its name, it actually doesn't simmer. It's a H2O boiler/snow melter, but it's non a gourmet cook's stove. I sure enough flora the SimmerLite to endure at to the lowest degree equally skillful equally a WhisperLite, but the WhisperLite was of course of written report $20.00 cheaper too had the same functionality.
